Hello!

Student Intern

About Me: My work as a therapist is rooted in a humanistic, trauma-informed approach. I believe that our bodies remember what our minds may have forgotten, and know it can often be easier to communicate through movement and somatic processing. I integrate and facilitate a body centered psychotherapy practice, being informed by my experience as a Licensed Massage Therapist and now as a Student Counselor. I also believe authenticity is the cornerstone for a strong therapeutic alliance, and encourage a level of directness that upholds accountability of the self and others. As a multi-racial individual, I recognize the importance of shared identities in the therapeutic space, and am open to a variety of clinical modalities, while respecting and integrating the background and culture of my clients into their healing. I feel therapy is a guided self discovery, and I am here to keep the path lit for you. I incorporate somatic techniques into all modalities practiced, which include, but are not limited to, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness based cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and earth based practices. Additionally, I am approved to do walk and talk sessions - meaning we can take our sessions outside, whether that be a hike or walk in the park.

I am originally from the Willamette Valley, and after spending 6 years breathing in the high mountain air of Colorado, I happily returned to my home state of where the forest meets the sea. I am a major horse girl, riding whenever the opportunity arises, and cherish spending time with my giant rabbit, Elios. I can often be found walking in the woods, feeding the neighborhood crows, or forever sampling the ample fine food that the Portland area has to offer!
